This is an update to an older video on how to build models in xLights for multi-layer stars and wreaths. Many folks take the time to build these models in Excel, and that is no longer necessary. This video is not to discourage people from sharing models. It is meant to explain how the xLights program can create the models for you.
Related: Check out my other video on sharing custom models via the XMODEL export and import options. If you have created a custom Excel-base model and would like to share it, realize there are some great benefits to using xLights to export the model. An XMODEL saves prop definitions and settings, which are packaged up with the custom design. This is especially helpful if you have pixelized singing faces with the phonemes saved and pre-set.
