One thing that may be worth noting is that there are a couple of ways to implement guy wires. The ratcheting 16-foot tie-down straps available at big-box stores are convenient, cheap, and maybe have comparable strength versus stranded steel cable. But, since they are relatively wide and thin, wind can cause them to vibrate leading to loosening and eventual failure of the mounting to the ground.
